  1. @Christof+ can you give me a short trial for the website please? Thanks Samico.
  2. @Kim my prayers go with you and your family. All the best Rodrigo Samico.
  3. Have you tested it already @cuegis?
  4. Please are this calendar using options expiring before or after the earnings? Can we change between the two styles? Its 1 week calendars? Thank you Samico.
  5. Seems like its not always a 1wk, depends on the stock. Also for the price movement, looks like a double calendar with strikes farther apart will hold it due to IV increase in the back expiration when vol shifts into it, if the stock does not move too much. They trade on unconfirmed dates too, which is dangerous as we know.
  6. To summarize, basically what the guys over there are doing is that they are operating pre pre earnings calendars too, and placing a 1wk double calendar a few strikes away from the current underlying price, using as the short leg options expiring 1 week prior to the earnings week an buying the ones expiring right after the earning date. Entry usually is around 30 days or more from short expiration. The strategy seems to be delivering good results to them so far. Samico.
  7. Does anyone here saw the double calendars marko of optionslam is doing lately? He calls them double eagle and explains Them here it has some similarity with Cuegis pre pre earnings cal. Samico
  8. I second that! The scanner to calendars would be really a big HIT! Can you do it @DJTUX ? []'s Samico.
  9. Congratulations to @Yowster for this deserved acknowlegment. Ive always had him as a most valued member of this community. And congratulations to @Kim for this happy decision. Very good indeed. Rodrigo.
  10. But then how to act in periods like 2018 year? Vix was high from may and beyond right? Buying straddles isnt a good thing?
  11. Yowster, i ve been out of membership due to lack of funds temporarily so please enlighten me what are the candidate charts?

Sorry, missed this profile update (they don't alert the same was as the personal messages).  Dustin was playing around with the idea of making his charting available via a subscription, I even beta tested something for him last summer.   But something happened where he was unable to go forward at that point in time, so you have to just use the charts he posts here.

Pre-earnings calendars are certainly one of the most profitable SO stratagies (and last years the hold-thru RICs had a huge negative impact - but Kim stopped these trades).  Problem is that there are only so many candidates that they work very well on.  Straddle trades are what they are and they would perform well in a black swan event - but I don know many (mostly longer-term) members skip a lot of them, and others don't roll.  VIX/VXX trades are also great performers (my weely VXX put trades made over 300% in 32 weekly trades in 2016).
