I think the strategies that worked in momentum market we had past year and a half stopped working.. Most of the trades backtested for success where since 2016 lows it seems..

I used to have Trend.. Good software for option analytics etc, but it really lacks when it comes down to existing position management.. All spread trades are broken down into individual positions (same as Tradier wesbsie).. To me this was a showstopper, but if you are OK with this then it's a really good software..

There is sometging changed lately with tradier and apex fills.. I missed half of the trades last few months of so because of the fills... Last 30 days.. I was able to get all the so trades filled verry close to the official trade prices..

when I looked at Robin Hood u can only long but not short primium... not sure if it changed... also they only have mobile... entering spread trades on mobile is tough

Exactly... i do directional trading sometime.. Keep it small.. and do lots of it..

They have been tightening margins on all kinds of stuff.. I am pretty happy with Tradier.. never have issues..

They have API trading coming.. My guess is that they will try to do what tradier is doing.. Sell other trading platform integrations for more serious investors..

Same thing ... Except I double down on my second go around.. .. and turned a winner into a really nice looser.. Great reminder of how not to trade options and why i am here placing none directional trades

I had a good run with AVGO.. On Thusday, I swinged "AVGO Dec 15, 2017 $270.00 Cal"l from $10 at open to 13$ by noon.. Just re-entered same call at $9.25.. maybe get lucky again..

I was actually looking "Options Alpha" to enhance my option trading knowlage and hopefully follow along few more market neutral trading.. By glancing over, the site does look like aggressive marketing machine, kind of like Stensberry Research marketing clickbates.. I would like to hear honest feedback from the people who are familiar with Options Alpha what they think about the product.. Thanks

Also, I am trying to nail down all the products they offer (slightly confusing) , want to see who is using what and how: 1) https://pro.cmlviz.com - $19 with current promo.. looks like research and some ideas posts.. no back tests.. to me this has limited value. 2) https://tm1.cmlviz.com/ - Trade Machine / Backtests with "Market Insights" Ideas.. $49 with promotion... This is what I currently have... Very happy with it.. used it for few ideas, but not to the extend like most of you ... 3) CML TradeMachine PRO - looks like enhanced Trade Machine / backtest product..Currently $69 with promo.. Has anyone used it? Is it worth extra money? What more does it offer over vanilla TradeMachine. By a quick glance, this looks like vanilla with some more pre-sets.. Am i missing anymore "products"? Any feedback and information is appreciated..

Thanks i am usuing Tradehawk at the moment and it's OK for trading.. Hasn't looked into reporting / tracking yet.. I have tried tradeportfoliomanager but gave up really fast, since manual entry was a showstopper..

I have looked at it very briefly.. It seems its great for steady options traders.. I do however trade many other things in additions to options.. I will defiantly look deeper into it over holidays..

Looks like some really impressive results lately with cmlviz .. From what i understand, a lot of ideas come from "Market Insights" section and some custom backrests .. Are you guys using the Cmlviz "Pro" for trade ideas or mainly focused on posts on cmlviz tm site? Thanks

Hello, I am looking for software that helps me track performance for SO activities (Tradier) and my other Fidelity and IB accounts. The key features that I am looking for: 1) ability to journal trades, long short, multi legged option spreads (SO) via import.. I trade a lot and doing manual entries is not realistic.. 2) ability to tag/group trades with custom attributes (Steady Options, Custom, ETC) 3) risk management/ exposure report (i run few leveraged long/short accounts) I am looking at the following packages.. 1) http://www.tradelogsoftware.com - not sure what to make of it.. this looks like more of a tax reporting tool .. 2) tradeportfoliomanager.com/ - I heard few people mentioned this on the the forum.. I asked for a free trial from the tool creator but it does not look like the import is supported for tradier 3) https://www.tradervue.com/ - this looks interesting.. I have created a trial account (free tier) ... and I was able to import a APEX clearing transaction log.. Unfortunately free account only let you journal stock trades. If anyone as experiences with these or any other tools of similar nature.. I would like to learn about it. Thanks

Again.. not to hijak the thread.. here are the most liquid aggro ETF.. Here is also COT base ( Commitment of Trader ) .. http://www.cotbase.com/ Basically .. if you playing for a mean reversion .. You want to pick the side of comercial positions in hope the speculators will get a squeeze .. We just had a masive rip 14% in cooa (NIB) These are directional trades and are very different then market nutural trades that most of the people do around here..

I am actually playing aggros bounce via ETF.. There few ETF's that seems to have solid options chains: JJG, SGG, JO, CORN, WHEAT... i defiantly believe that is a next great trade on a long side.. Would be interested to get involved via options as well..
