Hi All, does someone know if it's possible on the Tradehawk platform to adjust the front and the back month volatility separately when analyzing a position ? Thanks in advance
Thanks @clems I did watch the video (and several others). But I did't saw the option to display spread charts.
Maybe there is some misunderstanding here. I did not mean an option position PL chart but the rather the spread price of by example a straddle for the last few days.
I tried Tradier for a while. On SPX options they charged a "Add'l Fee" of $0.58 and a "Tran Fee" of $0.04 apart from the commission. I mailed with the servicedesk about this and they said the $40 a month flat-fee only applies to the commission. So for SPX options you have to pay $0.62 per contract apart from the monthly fee.
Is this fee only this high for index options ? Can someone tell me if all other options are charged for $0.10 ?
I just opened an account from the Netherlands, so yes they do accept outside US locations. You have to call them, because the standards forms don't fit for a foreign account. They also allowed me the $40 per month flat fee.
Ok got it, thanks a lot. Are you informed about these kind of opportunities when you subscribe to the CMLviz service ? Or do you have to look for them youself ?
May I ask where in CMLviz the entry moment relative to the earnings date is mentioned? I only see a days till expiration mentioned ? Also I'm looking at it in read-only mode.
Hi @Djtux, this might be a silly newbie question. But I have a simple question about the RV calculation.
I'm putting my own worksheet together in excel using RTD data from TOS. So i would like to know the way RV is calculated. Is this "the straddle price / the strike" or "the straddle price / current price underlying". Thanks in advance.
@Yowster Thanks for explaining this. Very helpful , could you please elaborate a bit on bullet two. What is low, mid , high IV in respect to the long/short ratio ?
I called with the IB supportdesk. They explained you only see the +/- sign in the drill-down column when you actually have the position. So it's not there when you only put the spread on a line to watch the price.
