  1. yep, they are down again, this is strike 1, i just put them on notice!
  2. Hopefully they are not becoming the new Robinhood!
  3. yes, back up now. but definitely poor timing on their part to roll out an update. i guess we get what we pay for! 🤦‍♂️😂
  4. Shame for the extra charges on the index options but then again we don't really trade that many on a regular basis so the impact will be minimal, especially given we are getting a $30/month reduction in price. For those who trade index options in volume is there a chance to stay on the current $40 plan?
  5. As far as I know there is only the Jellifin Rho app that works with Tradier and it is still in need of a lot of work as far as i am concerned. I personally prefer using the Dash (web) interface from Tradier although it has limitations (e.g. you cannot change quantities on an active order). As far as mobile apps Tastyworks is miles ahead. As for the pricing Tradier should not differ from Tastyworks as they both clear through Apex.
  6. if anyone was wondering (probably not ) me and @Arthur finally got our Tradier accounts activated today! three cheers for us!
  7. Thanks for looking into this @SBatch, much appreciated. It's a similar response to what I got a couple of times already but it seems they are working on it so hopefully they will complete it soon. At least now we know there are no serious issues. Cheers
  8. @Kim @SBatch sorry to bug you about this, but do you know if they are having issues processing new accounts for international clients at Tradier? I wrote them a few times and I keep getting told my account will be activated overnight, but it never happens. Given that I started the process at the beginning of February it seems a bit odd that I still haven't got an active account (there is also the matter of having missed out on the free trading month, but at this point I'd just be happy to get the account opened). As it seems I am not the only one (@Arthur above seems to be in the same boat) I thought I'd see if you have any info that could help us either move the process along or at least understand what the reason for the hold up is. Thanks.
  9. Ok, good to know at least I am not the only one. I am assuming they have been overwhelmed by the number of new subscribers from the CA promotion maybe? If anyone (non US) has completed the sign-up it would be nice to know what the approximate time frame was.
  10. How long does it normally take to open an account with Tradier/Tradehawk for international clients?
  11. No, Tradier always said I wasn't eligible so I never managed to open one with them. I only managed to open accounts with Tastyworks (when it comes to ultra low cost brokers who clears through Apex)
  12. oh well, guess I will just have to try emailing them again
  13. That's the thing, They keep telling me Italy is not eligible (most recently a month or so ago) but in the list it was marked as orange (so from memory eligible). What confuses me even more is that Tastyworks (clears through Apex) allows Italy (in fact I have an account open with them), so I am not sure what the issue is as the Tradier guys did not answer the email I sent with this specific question.
  14. Any ETA on the list?
  15. thanks honestly, even if you don't reach the 3000 mark it is still a better deal than any other broker I know. even with a $10,000 allocation on CA TLT trades on a low cost broker like tastyworks, you easily reach the $120 mark just with the opening trade sometimes, so all trades after that would be "free" with this deal. the only thing I don't really understand is why as recently as 2-3 months ago the Tradier guys told me they don't open accounts for Italian residents.. even though i told them i already had an account with tastyworks... odd, but oh well.
  16. This is not pro-rata, it's a clean cut-off at 3000 (2999 you are out and 3000 you are in) correct?
  17. can accounts with Tastyworks be transferred given they both use Apex? (assuming we meet the residential criteria of course)
  18. @SBatch @Christof+ @zxcv64 and to anyone else interested, Tradier has finally responded to my email and confirmed they offer accounts in Germany, France and Spain at this time. Please note I only asked about EC block countries so if you live in Europe and your country is not part of the EC you might want to contact them to confirm.
  19. Well, it looks like I am out of the running for the August PV TLT trade as eOption said they will not accept my Italian passport and my Australian passport just expired and I won't be able to renew it for the next 2 months. Oh well... As for Australians interested in Tradier, the attached screen capture from the Robinhood FAQ (I believe they too use Apex for clearing) gives us some hope although I would not hold my breath as they give no ETA.
  20. @Christof+ thanks for the update. Germany is trickier for me to establish residence as I don't have friends/family there. I assume the choice to avoid Italy is either due to legislation (as per Australia) or market size. Not sure why they would avoid UK though. If I recall correctly they clear through Apex Clearing Corporation. Just as an FYI for anyone interested, eOption requires an "offline" (paper forms) sign-up for non US residents (so plan ahead re time) and minimal account size is USD 25k (again, for non US residents).
  21. @zxcv64 nope, only German residents have been confirmed so far, Italians are out for now. I am waiting for Tradier to send a list of European countries they do business with and will post if/when I get an answer.
  22. Thanks @SBatch I have already started the process, fingers crossed I can finalise in time as international transfers take a while. If you have a referral code for eOption let me know and I can use it.
  23. @SBatch and @Christof+ (and anyone else interested in this side conversation). Unfortunately I have to rectify my initial comment as Tradier has confirmed this morning that they do not open accounts for Italian residents either, however they did confirm they do operate in some European countries. I am trying to get a list from them but they don't seem too keen to provide one for some reason. I just mentioned to them that as a European passport holder I can relocate to any EC country so let's see if they provide a list after this clarification. Will update once I get a response. If this conversation needs to be moved to another post please let me know.
  24. Thanks guys, I will look into TradeHawk and see if it works for me (hopefully it has a native linux version). Otherwise I was thinking Option NET Explorer? (I believe we get a discount if we have an annual subscription?).
  25. UPDATE: I got a further email from Tradier yesterday, and it looks like they are now running a trial program with some countries so I may be able to sign up after all. What platform do people generally use around here with the Tradier service?
