  1. Hi, same problem here. I already uninstalled and re-installed TWS API with no success...
  2. I cannot challenge your results but you state that you trade only a fraction of SO trades and then you do your own stuff. The point is that I had also experience with options and I had the exact same thinking. This guy claims to make 120% per year but I need to deduct commissions and the “level of experience”, ok, that should still leave me with a handsome return, right? Wrong, the avg of +6% per trade turns quickly to -2% and if you multiply by the number of trades you reach very fast -20% on total portfolio or worse...
  3. You need software with historic option price data for this, eg. ONE (Option Net Explorer). In this you can simulate any trade in the past, choosing enter and exit points (even in 5 minute intervalls). So lets say you establish a specific rule for a trade eg. buy AAPL straddle 5 days before earning announcement. You go back in time, enter the trade and then you forward in time and see what happens. You choose when to exit and the tool tracks performance. You do this for 8 quarters in the past and check total performance to see if this is a high probability trade or not... Hope it helps
  4. Thank you. However, this creates new line, it does not consolidate my existing positions into combos...
  5. A technical question if anyone can help... I rolled the MSFT and IBM straddles with rolling function of TWS. Following succesful filling the new positions are shown as individual options, not combos anymore. Any idea if I can make them combos again or it isnt possible???
  6. My IB system works... except for Forex prices. Maybe because I am in Europe, who knows...
  7. Jan19 is a monthly. The CML test was with 7 days exp. calls, i.e. Jan12.
  8. There are no weeklies???!!!
