  1. So I'm trying a very small trade on aapl today, bought the 660/665/670 butterfly for a .45 debit.. we'll keep you updated on how it goes
  2. So I started using IB yesterday on the webtrader.. to close out a straddle do I just enter in an opposite sell to close order in the spread part?
  3. I'm paying $7(per spread) and .75/contract, going to try to get it reduced again in a month or 2. I got that without really trading that much, maybe 100 contracts per month. (most of the volume at the time was on eoptions..) I'm sure I can get another decrease since I'm around 400 a month right now.
  4. Nope.. well that sucks... pointless app ...
  5. I'm pretty sure TOS fills orders off of more than one exchange.. but you are correct not as many as IB.
  6. I went to order ticket put in ibm where it says select contract.. it pulled up an option to click on stock futures options.. then more stuff for the mexi and fwb exchanges.. when I click on options it only lets me choose expiry, put or call and strike...
  7. So I opened a IB Account, waiting for funds to hit, but I downloaded their mobile app for Android and I don't see any way to place a straddle order, or anything more than a single call/put. Any ideas?
  8. eoptions is another that has issues associating multiple positions correctly, you have to call them to get them to manually adjust it. Ex on my calendars, they were using margin on the short options, until i called them
  9. stay away from eoptions unless you are just going to be doing straddle/strangles, or calendars.. their interface is horrible.. and if you enter a IC, you can't close out just the Puts or calls at once, without calling in. Also, on a spread or straddle, there is no option for GTC unless you call it in. And when you call it in, the commission doubles. from 3 and .10 to 6 and .10 Going to eventually consolidate my TOS and eoptions and move to IB. Also a lot of times the short call/put on a calendar doesn't match up right and ends up being a margin play.
  10. Thanks. I was lucky that TD Ameritrade doesn't allow any transfers during any of your options expiration weeks. I had to use the broker assisted trade but was able to get it done.
  11. Part of my post got cut off. Is there anything I can do or do I just hope it expires out of the money
  12. I initiated an account transfer from td ameritrade over to e options because of the fee structure. I currently have a July 195 ibm calendar with weekly options in place. My account to td ameritrade has been closed and e options will not be active until tuesday the 12th. The weekly call is too close to being in the money.
