  1. Hey is anyone still using CMLviz Trade Machine. I just started using it. I have working on Buying and Selling Volatilty skew they have been talking about. I have been working on developing a stock scan that can work well with this setup. One of the problems they use pretty tight stops to take full advantage of the volatility. Does anyone know if there is a way to automate some of the trades CMLviz recomends after a position has been moved past the target, They also seem to base most of there trades on end of the day price. For people who use TradeMachine do you feel waiting to end of the day helps ? My stock screen has shown some good results using backtesting but that depends on getting the good fills that the backtest seens t to be getting. Anyone using TradeMachine can PM me just reply to the board with thoughts on how to automate some of the trades recommended in selling volatility skew
  2. Thanks for the advice. What about putting a limit order for a gain early ? Or should you wait until the option price gets close to your target before entering a limit order how much option volume does a stock need to have to be liquid?
  3. Does anyone use stop limit orders on option positions I know stop loss orders can be bad with options because they can turn into market orders which can be bad news on options at times. I was just thinking if you put a stop limit order on your option positions the market maker if the price is low enough the market maker may try and push the option price down for the sole purpose of getting your stop limit exectuted. What sort of options do people use to manage there option holdings and potentially sell if things go south manually monitoring your option position is one may are there other ways that people use with success without being taken advantage of my the market makers ?

  5. Well I figured out I was originally classified as a professional which had some pretty hefty fees for a live fee. But I changed to non professional which lowered the fees quite a bit in fact the fees are waived as long as you do a small amount of trading every month
  6. Will you publish this weeks trades on a seprate thread I am trying to find the best place to look for them

  7. Question I just opened a account with IB does one need to subscribe to OPRA (US Options Exchanges) to get live data that is an extra cost I was not anticpating I don't seem to be getting live quotes on options when I attempt to open an option spread It may be a config issue or do I need to add this to get live option pricing from IB I did try when the market was open as well
  8. If you believe I stock will make a move but are not sure in what direction a straddle is a good option. Is there a good way to calculate what the price of your limit order should be. I had some success with these in the past. Just wondering what factors one should look at when placing the limit order and can you determine a good price before the market opens ?
