    IB Data

What data package do we need for SO trades? I don't see the US value bundle now but I see the US Value Bundle PLUS. I also see US Equity and Options Add-On Streaming Bundle which requires US Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle.
  3. I need some advise from senior members here. I have about 350K in my 401k/IRA in S&P500 index funds. How do I hedge this investment? Is buying SPY PUT a good approach or any better ideas on cheap insurance? Thanks.
  4. @KimKim, I see the performance for Jan and Feb as 14.1% 3.7% What are the gains after commissions (with IB)? Just trying to see what the real gains are.
  5. How is the IB android app? Can we do multi leg options and other trading activities on it without too much hassle?
  6. I have a day job and so ability to trade (multi leg positions) using my android phone is important. Which broker/platform is the best to satisfy this requirement? I checked some of the suggested brokers and I couldn't find anything related to android app in their websites.
  7. Thanks for all of your suggestions/comments. I am new to options trading and my confusion right now is to chose the right broker. Trying to weigh in the pros and ccns. I will try out both and see what works for me. In addition to IB and Tradiers do I need to signup for a trading platform too (like tradehawks) ?
  8. Do Tradier have a android app and is it usable? Can we do multi-leg trades using the app?
  9. I am new to trading options and confused between IB and Tradiers. What would you suggest?

    Tax Talk

I am new to this and so please bear with me. I am currently using taxact. Once I start trading with a broker (say IB) at the end of the year will IB provide me with a 1099 that I simply enter in taxact? Will IB calculate all the profit/losses on all trades and give me a net 1099? Is it as simple as that or do I have to do the calculations during tax time to determine the short term and long term gains? Thanks much..
