  1. Tried that, also mobile. Already 30 minutes on the phone with them. He says there is an order on the exchange but not on my screens. He can't remove it from the exchange.... OCA orders are such a mess on IB.
  2. Like I mentioned I do not have a buy order open, I get these a lot with open buy orders but thats the reason I opened this topic.
  3. @Kim I had a bunch of OCA orders which went through more than the amount was needed but I want to sell them now and I get this message (See screen) I have no buy or sell orders already open.
  4. Yeah exactly, I do like his way of explaining and he makes great videos. But the services he offers never appealed to me.
  5. For me it was really useful when I started with options. He is very good at explaining so it was a nice way of getting into the option market, I will listen to some more advanced podcasts of him and let you know if it's worth your time.
  6. I used to listen a lot to podcasts when travelling and I want to start again with some podcasts. Anyone recommend podcasts to listen to? Can be anything to current economic discussions to a more educational podcast on trading. I used to listen to Chat with Traders and Option Alpha a bit.
  7. The 10 dollar is just for inactivity, so 10$ worth of commission erases the fee. 5$ commission and you pay the remaining 5$ fee. That 30$ fee your talking about is actually on some data fees that get waived when you trade above 30$ commission.
  8. Live data will cost you money, delayed I am not sure. I know IB has an inactivity fee of 10 dollars a month.
  9. IB is charging me a lot of commission last couple of days. Average is around 1.3 per single contract....
  10. I want to move to Tradier as well but the mobile application keeps me from doing so. There are times that I need to trade from the app and in my opinion the IB app is quite good.
  11. That's peanuts if you are trading a 100k portfolio. Look at what the best platform is for your trading. From what I understand One software makes you redirect to a browser if you place a trade. Tradehawk seems to be fully integrated. Makes the decision pretty easy.
  12. You will probably be much cheaper off using tradier and tradehawk, especially using the SO promotion. You may not follow all the trades but even if you follow 30%, with a 100k portfolio it will still be cheaper than Interactive. So if you follow around 70-90% with unofficial trades you will save a lot of money. Platform wise I like IB better. Also: If you use SO promotion you pay a flat fee per month doesnt matter how many trades, so really should not matter.
  13. I had lower commission for a while but now it's back to normal. Maybe we get some commission in return because we make the spreads tighter since volatility returned? Do not quote me on that one.
  14. Any one ever get these errors? Edit: Ok so I found out its when there are more than 5 straddles in a combo, since I either trade that with multiple combos I never ran into the issue like CIEN. How can I increase the size limit in IB? Following this link doesn't work because it does not show trade limits under the trade configuration (Old account management). https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/am/am/manageaccount/tradinglimits.htm Anyone know how I can increase limit size?
  15. Probably sold calls on NFLX. What a racist idiot.
  16. When there is a discussion or trade opened, at the bottom of the page you can see the previous topics on that trade. In general going over all of the older trades is quite boring and you won't remember a lot. However, when you are planning on entering a trade, comparing that current trade with older trades gives a better impression. You can see how your current trade behaves and compare that to previous cycles and what members had to say about it (in the discussions I mentioned earlier). That way you learn more about it and have more experience with this symbol/trade in the future. This is how I do it anyway.
  17. Do you know if they have a mobile app? I do not think tradehawk has one, ive been looking at other platforms but none have a mobile app. Do you trade exclusively on a computer or do you trade on your mobile as well?
  18. I think it is a good idea to split the discussion. However, wouldn't a topic for every month just be the same as we have right now but just cut up? It would maybe create even more confusion since people might discuss a trade and when its the end of the month the discussion might need to be continued on the new month topic, creating one discussion within two or even more threads. (I.E. long trades like VIX, SVXY, VXX etc). I voted option 3 which seems the most organised, if a trade lasts a long time like potentially the SVXY this might make it easier instead of trying to find parts of that discuss the underlying in multiple threads.
  19. Yes, heard a lot of good things on the app of TW. However I like the app of Interactive Brokers a lot as well. A lot of bugs in the showing of P/L on my portfolio but in terms of ordering option combos quickly it is quite intuitive. Without a good app I can't switch to tradier which is a shame...
  20. Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, and Uruguay. They accept these countries, pretty sure they all are eligble for margin, otherwise they wouldn't focus on being an option platform.
  21. Im from the Netherlands as well. These brokers accept Dutch citizens and are good brokers with low commissions: Interactive Brokers Tasty Works Tradier
  22. I really want to switch however the mobile trading keeps me from doing so. Has anyone had any succes trading via a mobile platform using Tradier? How is your experience and what platform do you recommend?
  23. Im looking at tradier as well, im just worried about the mobile part. Some have mentioned that tradier supports mobile web page but I heard that the portfolio management from Tradier itself is horrible due to it splitting the combos after execution. So I cant really imagine doing it on a mobile phone, I do not feel like making mistakes when I get a trade alert from Kim. Does anyone use Tradier and uses a good mobile platform? I know some platform are linked to tradier and have a mobile app. I have an android phone so some platforms do not support this for some reason.
  24. Yes I am waiting that it reverses. However you don't think I have a chance of getting assigned early with that little time value left?
  25. I have a question regarding assignment risk. If i have an option that had a price of 2.9 of which 0.1 is extrinsic value. It expires this friday. Do i have a risk of an early assignment?
