    Rolling

I play bigs cap stock with options, nothing like we do here. I am wondering just in case I have to roll sometime when is the best time to do it before expiration? Example is MO jan 13 32.00 call. Thanks
  3. I play options on stocks such as MO, GIS, WMT, WAG, MCD, ect on dippy days. Take small gains, sell, and wait. I buy these things min three months out, and if the stock is say 40.00 I will buy the strike price around 10 percent lower then the stock price itself
  4. MO pays a nice dividend you might want to look at that, not for the div but for the move in the stock
  5. Ah understand
  6. sell day before Ex-Div and buy again on Ex-div Help me out here, I dont see how you are getting the dividend? Ok so you are keeping these until the NEXT dividend dates comes around, I think?
  7. Have any of you played dividends on stocks, get in before exdividend date and get from one to whatever days later? Love to hear your thoughts on this.

    What a day

Trying to learn here and others can also. Looking at the trade as it is, what would the trade look like when rolled?
  17. But Mario is correct, it doesn't hurt the non-directional like it does directional, not even close, but the big moves, up or down effects the iron condors.
  18. All companies reporting lower than expecting earnings, domestic growth down to 1.5% .unemployment over 8% yet the market goes up 500 points in a matter of days.time for a big correction
  19. Whoa, Mario doing his thing lol
  20. Yes, lol
  21. Fixed again I see
  22. Marco, yes directional can, and will at some point, cause you to lose big time if you don't get out in time. When it goes through the short side not good.
  23. I see Moody's has slashed the outlook for the european bailout fund a few moments ago. I assume they are short the market
