I had same issue Friday, in the morning could not enter new trades, very annoying ! b/c IB advised me so, I used the beta version since a week or so. Friday the suggested I should use the "lastest" version.

It does not matter so much how you opened the IC As indiana*Josh pointed out, the IC is actually not more than 2 verticals, a put vertical and a call vertical By building 2 separate vertical (put and call) in your quote panel, you will be able to close for example the put vertical and you will still have the call vertical, which you can close later on as a separate vertical hope this helps

Hi Kim, How do you track/ follow the bulk ? I mean in TWS OptionTrader the number of stocks you can track/ follow is rather limited (to 15). Do you track the bulk rather in ONE ?

Hi Civicguy, It looks like your "Order Type" options are restricted somehow, Normally you should have "LMT" and "MKT" (see screenshot) I get this dialog box only outside regular trading hours It might be best to contact IB CJ

IB help How to "unbreak" the legs of an option trade
4REAL replied to Civicguy's topic in General Board
Hi TDM, Depends on the version you use, in the "normal" version I believe you don't have this setting If you use "TWS lastest", you go to the main screen, you go to "edit" tab (upper left corner) you select "global configuration" I believe it should be under "display" and then under "ticker row" you'll see "Complex (multi-leg) positions" there you can select hope this helps -
Hi CivicGuy, My experience is that you get this box (instead of the usual orderline under Trading/Orders) when you try to place orders outside the regular trading-hours. But this box shouldn't pose a problem, it is just an extra step So, In the "Limit price" field, you just fill in your price "Trigger price" field can stay blank "Order type" field : select LMT Verify if the right action (Sell or Buy) is selected Quantity : I always select 1, since you can change afterwards in the ordeline You click accept (not transmit) and then you get the usual orderline under Trading/Orders. There you can change quantity, price Best is to verify, but I think the rest you know Hope this helps. CJ

IB help How to "unbreak" the legs of an option trade
4REAL replied to Civicguy's topic in General Board
2 weeks ago IB advised me to switch to the "TWS lastest " version, b/c my TWS is very slow and unresponsive when I add more than 15 tabs in OptionTrader. That didn't solve this problem at all. But by switching to the latest verion I had the same issue. Apparently in "TWS lastest " version it is not possible to see your positions as separate legs in your optionchains and simultaneously see your combo you created in the quote panel. You can only see one or the other, very confusing So i returned instantly to the "normal" version. -

It is not normal that the comm column is blank. Might be best to check with IB, maybe has to do with update or so I have accurate comm (95% of the time) After close I compare the total of commissions of that day in tradelog with the trade confirmations under reports tab on the Account Management Home page.
-
Normally the commission column should be there in the default settings (at your right site) if not you can add it; you right click where you want to add column and then select "lay-out" hope this helps

Great initiative thanks Kim

sometimes even weeks, from the Jan GOOG trade I remember that Kim opened early (4 weeks before earnings) I had a limit set that was lower than the official entry my limit was triggered 4 days before earnings so 3 1/2 weeks later

out of the 85C calendar @ 0.28 (in @ .23) after IB comm (3,17$ per spread) = 7,95% gain could have been better, but not complaining even after 13,80% comm, still 7,95% gain, Holding onto the 82.50 calendar
