I have been a member for about a month.

Why didn't FOSL qualify as a good candidate for an earnings play at the beginning of Nov? It passes muster based on the size of the move that we look for. And since it has now passed, looking at how a straddle would have performed, it would have been an excellent trade.

As far as why I am honing in on this one stock, some of my family members trade the stock, so it comes up in conversation fairly regularly.

Thank you.

There are much more candidates than we can play. In this specific week, we had 9 candidates.

However, sometimes I might miss a good candidate. This is why every week I post a topic with list of potential candidates for the following week and ask members to suggest more names if they see a potentially good candidate. I didn't do backtesting on FOSL, but it does have big moves and can be a viable candidate. So next time if you see any stock missing from the list, just jump in and suggest it.

Thats one of the best advantages of this board -- I miss potential trades all of the time, and I'm sure Kim does too, don't ever be shy about chiming in on an idea. I've certainly had my share of ones that blew up in my face -- but the open discussion is great
