PhilT Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Hi, is anyone else experiencing this issue with IBKR? I'm from the UK. I have been trading US Index options fine up till now. Today I am seeing this message appear on US ETFs: https://ibkr.info/article/3946: "This product is currently unavailable to clients classified as 'retail clients'. Note: Individual clients and entities that are not large institutions generally are classified as 'retail' clients. There may be other products with similar economic characteristics that are available for you to trade." Have tried to resolve the issue, but it seems that the only way I can trade ETFs now is if I request to reclassify myself as a professional (which will most likely get rejected, since I am not).
