wlnoronha Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Hi guys, I need some advice from you. I live in Netherlands and I want to open one account in US that allows me to trade options and our volatility trades. Does someone here trade from Europe? Can you give me advice on a broker that I can open my account? Thanks Quote

K. Miller Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I would go with IB, they are pretty global. I see commercials for them all the time here in Indonesia. My account is US based though, as I have a US address. I just wish I could only pay the Indonesian tax rate. Quote
wlnoronha Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Thanks guys, I will try with them. I have tried with TOS but they do not allow foreign accounts to trade options. What about the comissions cost with IB? is it worth for our kind of trade? Can you give a idea about the average comission and how much it represents in terms of percent of our average results (5%)? Marco Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 They charge 0.70$ per lot (on each leg of the trade) but also pass on exchange fees and rebates that occur so the fee varies. I think I had between 0.30 and 1.40. I think I average about 0.75 per lot in the long run but other members report higher averages. (there is a long thread somewhere here about this) You have to take about 1.2 to 1.5 percent points off the reported performance for fees if you trade with IB. Quote

Christof+ Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 @Bull3t007 Does Tasty Works meanwhile accept European customers, also for trading on margin? Quote

Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, and Uruguay. They accept these countries, pretty sure they all are eligble for margin, otherwise they wouldn't focus on being an option platform. Quote
