  1. You must have had a good entry! I'm still looking at low 30s. I'll likely exit at end of day unless it retraces down.
  2. AMC. Just confirmed from their IR website: " TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2018 4:30 P.M. ET Q4 2017 IMAX CORPORATION EARNINGS CONFERENCE CALL" And T-0 looks pretty good, so I'm going to hold until tomorrow unless we hit profit target.
  3. Isn't IMAX earnings tomorrow after close? Also, THO took the F off on some subsidiary news.. looking for a good spot to close, but damn. Edit: a momentary price surge (literally saw the b/a on underliying pop to 135 from 132 for about 2 seconds) filled my order (that was over ask).. soo, yay for now? 120% gain.
  4. Today not a bad entry for this one, higher returns overall. Considering it.
  5. Eh, high win ratio but low return rate. Pass for me, don't like the risk of a red day killing this trade. It did dip pretty hard today, so maybe favorable due to that but then again.. momentum.
  6. yeah, fluctuated up to +10% at one point. Hopefully market settles tomorrow and we get a good green day to boost everything.
  7. I'm holding until tomorrow.
  8. I was looking at closing it earlier, up over 30% because I had to walk away from the computer for a while (closed MRVL earlier btw, up just over 40%), but decided to follow the rules.. ouch Personally though, I'm holding until tomorrow unless we hit 40% gain or pretty close.
  9. Main difference looks to be 4 cycles vs 8 cycles - you only looked at last years data?
  10. This seems to say T-1 (or EOD T-2) may be the best entry for this trade to me. I wonder if there's a better average mechanic to use for this type of trade that weights against the extremes, showing more strongly the "normal" trend. Seeing the weird spike on T-8 makes me think there's one or two heavy moves in the past that's overwriting the normal trend. Thinking about the same thing. It's on quite a tear. I've held for now.
  11. My first few trades of this type felt like that too. DIRECTIONAL TRADING! Still, I think it's a solid thesis. Just gotta keep position sizing small because you're at the risk of broad market decline (on the plus side, broad market gain is pretty sweet.)
  12. Haha I understand, all investments are at my own risk
  13. Entered W, avoiding CW. Thanks for the help @Djtux!
  14. @Djtux any chance for your heat map for CW and W? curious if we should try to enter before EOD today.
  15. I closed round 1 of INTU for just over 40%. May re-open on a pullback or on tuesday, as T-0 day seems favorable.
  16. @krisbee earnings is unconfirmed at this point?
  17. Market is closed on the 19th
  18. Some minor feedback about this, generally wouldn't you do a color shift at breakeven (0) instead of 50%? Kinda threw me off how blue a lot of these were even though they're relatively good. Very impressive though, excellent feature for examining some of these CML trades and trying to see exactly how cherry picked some of the results are. You may have answered this in another thread, but do you only have EOD data access at the moment?
  19. Yeah.... I agree at this point. I just closed my last straddle and I don't have any long volatility strategies left on the books. Holding off.
  20. Personally, I'm inclined against. Even if VIX wasn't very high right now.. there's only 4 samples in the backtest. Not enough for a play as bold as a straddle without earnings to hold back theta. I plan on looking at the Post Earnings ICs throughout the day and evaluating an early entry if I think they've stabilized.
  21. Only red flag for me is that HOLX is a medical sector company, might be more of a landmine than the others. I especially like Kellogg, as I'm struggling to imagine the kind of news story that would shake it up (barring some kind of scandal). This is a lot of positions on a similar timeline, so it provides a good opportunity to spread the risk around a bit. The main concern will be broad market movement, but I think these should mostly have muted responses overall. I'm considering quarter positions for each of the 4, and maaaybe oversizing kellogg a little depending on the kind of credit available. FLT is a little questionable on a second look too, 2 losses and fairly big ones. Might pass, depending on credit available.
  22. Anyone looking at any post-earnings ICs while residual IV is still high? Probably best to go with wide strikes but might be an opportunity to open here
  23. I wonder if entry today would be viable, because a lot of QQQ stocks report today/tomorrow, and good earnings might drag up NVDA up with it. I suppose the reverse could be true. Hm.
  24. I don't know how I missed it, but there's a right click - add new note function on the watchlist. I swear I spent like 20 minutes fiddling around with it on Friday and gave up. So obviously after making a public post, the next time I glance at it it's BOLD FLASHING RED right there. Derp.
  25. either would work, as I typically would have the underlying on a line next to the options combo for quick viewing
