    Must have tools

@Cashflows Without any doubt the greatest gem I found through my membership here was the introductory deal to Optionslam. I know few members use it; but here is the trick - you have to LEARN how to use the site. I took out 2 months of my time to watch almost all of the 65+ webinars. These webinars are priceless and not only teach you how to use his site, but how to strategize and manage trades. Marko who conducts the webinars is an exceptional and patient teacher. He has a great respect for others and never makes a newbie feel...well..like a newbie! He has a passion for trading options and he cares about sharing his knowledge. which may be why so much of the information on the site is offered for free. The CML Trademachine is also a favorite. My portfolio has increased substantially due to it, and so it is definitely worth the subscription fee. However, once again you must take the time to learn it and do the due diligence when you are entering a trade. Larry McMillan's weekly newsletter is great for getting a technician's clue as to where the market is going. You know Larry, he is the person who wrote the Bible on options. Final thought: I have studied the patterns and cycles of markets for over 25 years and it has given me the extra edge. If you ever get to this point of interest, then check out Elliott Wave Trader. It is by far the best of all in this genre. I have followed Avi Gilburt for almost a decade and I rarely disagree with him; and he is almost always right about predicting when the market is going to turn. Watching and analyzing patterns takes time; so now he does all the heavy lifting for me so I can spend more time having fun trading.
  2. Per CML Discover: Entered MSFT PE 7-1, 40 Delta Feb 2 93.5 Call @1.57 on Jan 24, 3:19p Exit @3.05 on Jan 29 3:50p 94% profit (Did not exit at the suggested limit gain of 40%, took the risk)
  3. @Kim Fear and ignorance has made this person a very “tiny” man. And this same fear and ignorance has been making a war on Love and Truth stretching back for centuries. These tiny people don’t know they are being futile, for 100% of the time when all is said and done they lose to the goodness that is in us all. And thank you Kim for your positive and sharing nature, for this is why you are successful. Also, as for myself, I am so impressed with how much my account has increased over this past year. It was a great decision to subscribe to this service. Per your advice, I dedicate much time to learning and that is one of the secrets to being successful here. You guide, but a subscriber has to put in the time to take the steps. Thanks!
  4. @NikTam I received notice by email from SO on January 10th about it. However, this webinar will be available on their site later.
  5. IMHO - I think each of them (Tasty Trade, IB, and TOS) have their good and their down points. TOS has superb information for the serious and analytical trader; but downside is the fees are terrible for the option trader. Tasty Trade has good fees and very easy to use (you can learn the basics of using the platform within a few hours). Another benefit is you can start with a small investment and you are not limited in any option strategies. Con: very limited data if you want to do any in depth analysis and this is why you might want to have TOS or IB in addition to Tasty Trade. But IB is for the very intense and serious player. it's the best! Prices are good. Only negative: Learning curve is steep and if you are just starting out with options you may be spending more time learning the platform, when you should just be learning the basics of trading options. But as I said this is only my Humble Opinion.
  6. @NikTam and @SBatch regarding creating a post line that is structured. Great Idea! I was beginning to wonder if the many trade suggestions would get lost in a helter-skelter box, so I am glad you were proactive in organizing the content. I am wondering, if you might want to (assuming you can do this) put these "guidelines" at the beginning of this forum topic. It might help a member who comes across this topic to understand the protocol. And thanks to both of you for all your contributions, I am a bit richer for it.
  7. Thanks for that input! Well Received.
  8. I have been watching SBUX - Starbucks for the past week. I am going to test the CML's suggestion (article in their Discover tab): Earnings Release Date (ERD) Nov2 AMC Long Saddle, 50 Delta/50 Delta ; Expiration 30 days, Enter 6 days before ERD and close 0 days before ERD.
  9. @Ophir Gottlieb Thanks for answering for me...you are quick on the spot; my fingers haven't caught up to the "computing power"yet.
  10. The Oracle trade I entered (see previous post) on 9/11, automatically ended today for I had set the “Risk Management” to close the trade when gain is above 40% as suggested by Ophir in his article. It had one more day to play out; however, I am pleased to be conservative and take the gain now. @Ophir GottliebThank you to Ophir for your outstanding suggestions. @KimAnd, “Thank You” to Kim for this fantastic forum; it is a rich treasury of ideas. It is priceless! Oops. I shouldn’t have said that; you might raise the subscription price.
  11. I also tested the Oracle trade as indicated by the Trade Machine as a possible “winner”: Long Call @ 40 Delta, open 3 days before earnings, Expiration:7 days . Entered this morning and now it is almost up 18%. it will be interesting to see how this trade turns out.
  12. @Ophir Gottlieb I am truly enjoying this software! It really is like Christmas, playing around with all the possibilities. Here is a question concerning the strategy from your article on Oracle issued 9/3/2017. Can you explain the logic of limiting the gain to 40% on this particular strategy? Here is the before with 40% gain limit and the after with "0" gain limit: As you can see the benefits returned are greater when no gain limit is set. Thank you!
