I entered IBM calendar 1/2 position 185 Aug./July call @.80 debit seemed cheap and I have a little upward bias but just opened 1/2 position for now. They report earnings July 17th. Any thoughts Kim? Thanks Bret

Kim Does the live data I purchase from IB automatically load itself into ONE? I'm not a tech guy but would this software indentify and integrate with my broker i guess is what I am asking? Thanks Bret

Yes this is what IB said it would do. You can file for compensation if you think it cost you, it did for me on XOM but I'm just happy to get the trades and money back so for myself I am good with it. Bret

They said it was NYSE exchange and they are still waiting to see what the exchange does before they can handle it but I am interested to see how they handle the ebay and xom trades because I would have exited but cant since the exchange sold at market. But I think you can get someone on live chat quicker to talk to someone because called this morning first thing and i was on hold for good while and i am sure people are calling in backlog. But anyway they assured me they would take care of it,but have not heard anything yet.

This is first time Iv had this kind of issue but when I talked torep were already aware of problem and he said all they were waiting for is OK from top and he said that when it is done it will be as though it never happened. Even though it is a little inconvenient I will be happy if they come thru with there solution. And to be honest Iv had pretty good luck with customer service so I really cant complain. Bret

I just talked to rep and they said they had a tech glitch and will open credit back positions but cant close xom until they get it fixed but at least they are working to fix it He said they will send notification but will have to re enter GTC orders to close. Bret

my IB account sold all my positions that i had GTC orders for less than orders were put in for some less than half im on hold rite now trying to talk to someone. Anyone else have this problem? Bret

Like yowster said i wouldnt worry to much about audits and I didnt attach documents to my return. Also as a side note for 56.00 you can get audit coverage on turbo tax which seems to me like a cheap alternative to a tax lawyer. For that fee they will deal with IRS if you do get audited. But personally I wouldnt worry about it. Bret

Indiana I finished my returns but as far as being correct I assume so but I just downloaded into1256 G/L into turbo tax and it accepted but Im not a tax expert Just thought you might be interested Bret

Indiana I am in the process of working thru it on turbo tax so far it has been easy enough but i am just getting started on IB all other broker accounts downloaded easily into the software but will try to do IB tonite and will let you know how it goes. I also own a small farming operation and as far as that went it simplified the process to where even a dumby like me breezed thru it. Up to this year had used a CPA but got tired of paying fees. I traded the 176 straddle in and out friday for a small gain, but it looks promising.

Kim Thanks for the post mortem. After the fed anouncement and the vix collapse I would entertain the idea of another fly once market shakes out a little bit. We will get it back. thanks Bret
