  1. CJ Just know that i am not the trader that Kim is, I am just sharing some trades I am doing along with SO trades. I am getting better but just know that the buyer beware. Bret
  2. Well I have been trading SPX lately and have done both. Just have gotten comfortable with it lately but I think it is whatever your comfortable with.
  3. Bot a 2110 call Jan5 @1.10 moving fast reduced deltas by about 70%
  4. Profit Target 12-15% Maximum loss 15% Adjustments ~5 points from breakeven
  5. Profit target 12-15% Maximum loss 15% Will adjust @ ~ 20 points from short strikes depending on how fast market is moving Began trade with shorts ~15 delta
  6. Also entered SPX Weekly Iron Condor Jan5 1930/1940/2080/2090 @ 2.60 credit yesterday. I have been doing these regularly, decided to post for anybody that might be interested. Bret
  7. Decided to enter weekly RUT Calendar on 1/21. RUT @1170 Jan5 short/Feb2 long @8.00. Was a little unsure because of ECB announcement but decided go ahead, so far so good. Bret
  8. Well I suppose we have our answers to Kims questions. I'm not a prognosticator nor a bull but I don't think this market is going to quit until easy money starts to dry up. One of the ideas behind the fed and ECB is during the 1929 depression fed had low interest rates early but raised them and caused to go back into even deeper depression in 1937-1938. So while I think we will go higher where no one knows but when it does break it will be ugly. This is one reason why I like SO strategy so much and also why the straddles are very important to maintain in low iv environment because that could change in a heartbeat. Just my opinion.
  9. Good questions indeed.
  10. Happy belated birthday Kim Just wish my next birthday would be my 50th

    IBM

So much for UOA on this one
  13. AAPL is acting completely counter to past announcements.
  14. Right or wrong I opened up Sept.2 98/100/101 calls, broken wing butterfly @.65 debit.
  15. May be a broken wing butterfly its just very commissions consuming
  16. I have not decided how I will play this one, I own the stock and will buy some weekly puts as cheap as possible before announcement. I am thinking a bearish call spread just before launch.

    IBM

The past few days there has been lots of OI in September 12 195 calls ~.70. Heavy volume for past two or three days. Part of the reason Andrew Keene who puts out Option Hacker which identifies unusual option activity was promoting that about three days ago someone came in and made a big bet on these particular options. I have never traded based off of this information but I thought some of you might be interested in watching it. The only thing that i can see as a catalyst for for IBM is its new association with AAPL and someone thinks it may follow it into new product launch. Bret
  18. As I am considering purchasing the ONE software I am wondering what advantage it is to the ThinkorSwim software especially for someone that actually uses TOS? What are the advantages? Thanks to anyone that can answer Bret
  19. This is for the people who are on the fence about what option site to join. I joined Steady Options in June 2013 and I am glad I did. The actionable trades and the support that is given with them, along with the education is well worth the cost. The SO community has some great discussions and many experienced traders to learn from. This is not a follow along pie in the sky make millions site. But with work and some study the support of the SO community and access to Kim Klaimen and his expertise you will be well on your way. P.S. I don't think Kim gets enough credit for the time and effort it takes to run a site like this. He will take the time to answer your questions about the how and why of all the trades. Great site. Sincerely Bret
  20. Great posts guys I appreciate your willingness to share your insights of how the markets work. Thanks Bret

  23. Exited 185 call calendar @.90 for a 12.5% gain will consider maybe entering put calendar next week when it settles down
  24. Thanks for the input but this will help to remind me to look at all aspects of the trades before I jump into them. Also I believe the dividend is @1.10 so it is not so good. Puts were a better buy all things considered.
