a few links I'd add to the above: http://www.macroaxis.com/ good site if you are interested in portfolio optimization, correlation between your portfolio holdings etc., quite a number of good tools. They limit the number of calculations you can run for free each day though http://ransquawk.com good live newsticker covering Asian, European and U.S. hours. free version is 5 mins delayed which is usually good enough for me as a position trader http://sixfigureinvesting.com/ good site / blog about investing with a lot of option and vol products (VIX options, VIX bases ETNs ...) related articles and some good ideas http://www.expiringmonthly.com great (digital) magazine around option and vol products. 99$ for a yearly subscription and loads of single articles that you can buy separately in their archives section and that are worth the money (2.99$ for most I think) - check here for a free issue (I think a 'best of' from their starting year, so its a bit old (Jul'11) but most articles are of general nature so doesn't matter and you get an idea what the mag is like ....) I have no affiliation to any of the above sites. When I posted my links the first time I was hope to get a few more back from other members. Well I got one and I use that every day now (thanks smt1) but maybe I get a few more this time!

I know you are right. Therefore, I will stick with the RUT for now. Actually, I think, like with many things here, I will get more comfortable over time.
